Ahh...old, dusty stuff. Cleaning is sorta cathartic when I really get into it. Tonight I waxed nostalgic over TF fan art I hadn't seen in ages, buried in piles beneath the drafting table in the den. Also threw out a chunk of art supplies I'll most likely never use again, if they are useful anymore.

It's time to move on, I guess.

I'd be understating if I said I'm not much of an artist these days. As I look back on my motives for involment with art, I find I never really was an artist. The ability to draw does not alone an artist make. It must pour forth from a vision, a passion, a purpose; elsewise one is a heart without a heartbeat. I've needed this many years to be okay with that, to feel no need for self-validation via artsy sweat equity, to sit back and enjoy the work of those who were born to be artists.

I've slipped into major lurker mode at dA, and I'm sorry I haven't acknowledged you who've faved my pics lately...but thank you so, so much! Whatever happens to this page -- I hold out little hope of future TF art inspiration and am thinking of steering toward J-rock fan art, though even that's uncertain -- I really appreciate all who've looked through my stuff here.
